Alliance Safety Equipment Pty Ltd was established in 2007 and is a Townsville & Mount Isa based family owned company specialising in Sales, Service and Hire of Confined Space & Gas Detection Equipment, Height Safety Equipment, Rescue Equipment, Lockout & Tagout and Personal Protective Equipment.
We provide our clients with the supply, hire and maintenance of certified safety products as well as the technical assistance and support required to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Our aim is to provide you with a tailored solution to meet your safety requirements.
Alliance Safety Equipment aligns with leading manufacturers and distributors to offer the highest quality products and equipment. Most products and equipment supplied by Alliance Safety can be serviced locally in Townsville by our Service Division.
In addition to being able to service the products and equipment we sell, Alliance Safety offers comprehensive short and long term hire options.
Our showrooms located in both Townsville and Mount Isa have interactive product displays whereby our experienced staff can demonstrate the fitting, practical application and use of a range of products.

Maarten started his career serving for the Australian Army. After leaving the army, he started his first business and now has over 25 years business ownership experience. In 2007, he launched Alliance Safety Equipment in Townsville with an initial focus on Gas Detection Systems. He quickly identified that customers needed tailored solutions to address complex safety needs and grew the business to become the specialist safety provider it is today.
In 2017, the business expanded to open a second branch in Mount Isa to address the demand for specialist and local safety solutions for the surrounding mining and industrial businesses of North West Queensland.
Alliance Safety Equipment is now identified as a leader in North and North West Queensland in the supply, hire and service in the safety industry. Over the years, Maarten has built an abundance of knowledge and expertise in technical safety and is regularly called upon for his knowledge in gas detection, height safety and rescue equipment.

Jono brings comprehensive management, leadership, sales, marketing and business ownership experience to the Alliance Safety team. Jono engages with customers across North Queensland and leads our team of staff in Townsville to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional service to customers.
Having owned his own franchises and having worked in a variety of senior management roles, he understands the need to build strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure success.
Jono is a confident, dynamic and strategic leader who is focused on driving value for customers and building a team of highly capable staff.

Marsha has over 20 years management and leadership experience having previously worked in senior government and not-for-profit sector roles and has been the recipient of multiple awards recognising her excellence in leadership.
Marsha commenced at Alliance Safety Equipment in early 2018 and brings with her professional skills in human resource management, IT, marketing, contract management, compliance and leadership.
Marsha is passionate about community and the role that Alliance Safety Equipment plays in supporting the communities in which the business serves.

With extensive experience in regional management, business ownership and operations leadership, Craig has more than 20 years of strong leadership. Having worked in management roles across a range of industries, he understands the complexity of working within a growing business.
With a focus on people and process, Craig enjoys the challenge of working collaboratively with customers to address complex problems and assist them to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Ianthe is a highly experienced and passionate financial professional having worked across multiple industry sectors.
With a proven track record in leading finance teams and her extensive career working in large transport companies, Ianthe brings with her a large variety of skills, knowledge and experiences.

Coryn commenced at Alliance Safety Equipment initially in the Adminstrator role before progressing through to a sales role and now more recently having operations oversight of the two branches.
Coryn is passionate about customer service and implementing procedures and systems to ensure an efficient workplace. Coryn supports the administration and service teams, through to assisting the Director and Business Manager in day-to-day operations.
Coryn is proud of the relationships that she has established with customers and is committed to ensuring continued high-level services are delivered to customers of Alliance Safety Equipment.

Blake brings to Alliance Safety Equipment significant experience in the Retail/Customer Service sector having worked for both private and corporate companies.
Blake enjoys building strong customer relationships and working with customers to problem solve and achieve positive outcomes. Blake believes the safety industry is interesting, evolving and demanding and this makes Blake a perfect team player in the Alliance Safety Equipment team.

Jake brings unique qualifications and experiences to Alliance Safety Equipment having worked in diverse roles across various industries. With extensive skills in everything from trades through to retail and information technology. Having worked in a range of practical positions, he is an enthusiastic and well equipped Service Technician.
With Jakes robust background in technical trades and strong commitment to safety, he is focussed on working with customers to provide solutions to meet their needs.

Scott brings a very diverse career history with him to Alliance Safety Equipment. He commenced his adventures by completing his Plumbing apprenticeship with Qld Rail and then completed over 20 years in local refineries and mines performing various roles during this time.
His most recent career change took him from Senior Brewer at the Townsville Brewery to the service workshop of Alliance Safety Equipment.
In Scott’s few years with Alliance Safety Equipment, he has developed his knowledge, skills and obtained his accreditations to become a highly qualified and experienced technician.
Scott’s attention to detail, his meticulous practices, pride in high-quality work and his can-do attitude, make him an exemplary technician and valued team member.

Caitlin brings significant administrative, customer service and marketing skills to the Alliance Safety Equipment Team. As an exceptional all rounder, Caitlin is also a highly experienced, RESP-FIT accredited safety industry Fit Test Technician.
Caitlin has exceptional customer service skills and enjoys the process of delivering services to meet customers needs. Caitlin provides a key role in supporting the Alliance Safety Equipment business across marketing, administration and fit test operations.

Amanda is an allrounder who has worked in various industries during her career and is an experienced and RESP-FIT accredited Fit Test Technician.
Amanda is responsible for delivering all fit test services in the North West region and assists customers in education and testing to ensure their compliance with legislation.

Kim is our calm and collected Office Coordinator in Townsville. Alliance Safety Equipment was keen to welcome her to the company following her family’s relocation to Townsville in 2019.
Her enthusiastic personality and drive to deliver the highest level of customer service means you can always expect to be greeted by her with a smile and a laugh. Kim has extensive administrative skills across a range of industries and is a RESP-FIT Accredited Fit Tester who has proven herself to be adaptable, resilient, reliable and highly valued team member.
The multitasking queen, Kim has established positive relationships with customers and is a woman who knows how to get the job done.

Maddie is an energetic and enthusiastic team player. Having located to Mount Isa from the Sunshine Coast, she has quickly adapted to the warm outdoor lifestyle and adventures of being located in Western Queensland.
Maddie brings with her significant diversity in work experience and is particularly savvy with systems and processes.
